Itinerary

Day 1

Fairbanks

Visit Mushing School just outside of Fairbanks and get a brief session on winter survival skills. Spend the night in Fairbanks (not included).

Day 2

Fairbanks to Paws Camp

Travel to Nenana by vehicle – 1 hour’s drive. Dog mush along the historic Old Mail Trail to the “Paws Camp” which consists of a night in an Arctic Oven camp.

Day 3

Paws Camp to Tolovana Lodge

Mush 25-30 miles into the Tolovana Lodge and spend the night.

Day 4

Tolovana Lodge to Paws Camp

Mush back to the “Paws Camp” (25-30 miles).

Day 5

Paws Camp to Fairbanks

Mush to the trailhead in Nenana (20-25 miles) and travel back to Fairbanks by vehicle (1 hour drive).

Important

This tour does not include any accommodation in Fairbanks nor the transfer from Fairbanks to the Mushing School just outside of Fairbanks. We are happy to assist you with lodging and car rental.
