Senior Travel Planner
Job Type: full-time, 40hrs
Work location: Anchorage or Fairbanks
GoNorth Travel LLC is a receptive tour operator and agent for partners in German speaking Europe, Belgium, the Netherlands, Australia, and also the U.S..
Winter work hours: flexible, Mondays-Fridays
Summer work hours: 8AM-5PM active, standby until 8PM, Mondays-Fridays,
limited hours & standby Saturdays/Sundays
During training: 8AM to 4PM, Monday-Friday
Salary:
- $25.00/hour during first months while being trained.
Subsequently increases based on responsibilities taken over. - $30.00 – $35.00 once extensive knowledge achieved, and special responsibilities taken over.
Subsequently increases based on performance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years work in travel planning. Extensive knowledge about service providers (activities and accommodations) in Alaska and Yukon
- Minimum of 2 seasons spent in Alaska
- Experience in supervisory function
- Ability to problem solve, while working independently
- Ability to think from a tourist’s perspective
- Good communication skills and work in team
- Reading and writing in German not required, but helpful in that position
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Email network with the employees of our client partners, as well as service providers
- Craft quotes for suggested travel itineraries
- Enter bookings into our reservation system
- Provide relevant documentation for the end consumer, including detailed trip description in German or English and the corresponding vouchers.
- Assist clients on the roads when they encounter challenges
- Attending meetings with service provider partners, work out new products for our clients, and market our products to existing and new clients.
- Work in team with co-workers in Alaska and Zurich Switzerland

Reservation Specialist
Job Type: Full-time, year round
Responsibilities include:
- Answer inquiries on the phone, by email and live chat;
- Prepare and send out quotes to direct clients as well as to Tour Operators;
- Confirm reservations
- Obtain payment for reservations over the phone or online
- Answer all booking related questions, including questions concerning insurance;
- Review and update information in in-house reservations database
- Review and update Availability daily
- And other related duties as assigned.
During the busy summer season, the following responsibilities are included as well:
- Assisting the Prep Department with cleaning vehicles when required
- Complete quality check before handing out vehicles
- Welcoming guests to GoNorth and collecting guests’ arrival and departure information
- Explain and hand out vehicles to customers
- Explain rental agreement to customers
- Evaluate returned vehicles
- Notify the RV Technicians if damage has occurred, and repair or maintenance is required for the unit
- Enter all relevant information into in-house database and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Excellent English language skills (reading, writing, speaking); German language skills a plus
- Strong computer skills (proficient in MS Office applications)
- Ability to work independently and with highest accuracy within required time frames
- Ability to multi-task
- Good team player
Starting pay: $21.00 – $23.00/hr DOE

Brand-new facilities in Anchorage ready to move in in April this year. Modern workplace environment.
Job duties to include:
Service and repair RV’s, truck campers and SUV’s
Minimum qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Highly proficient in English (speaking, writing and reading)

- Ability to work independently and with highest accuracy within required time frame
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Clean and valid Driver’s license
- Good team player
What you need to bring: Must bring your own tools – however, we will provide a tool weight transportation allowance

Reservations Supervisor, Whitehorse Station
Job Type: Full-time (35 – 40 hours), year round
Starting pay: $23.00/hr
GoNorth Travel, LLC is a family owned Tourism company with a large RV and SUV rental fleet. We are looking for a highly motivated multilingual Reservations Supervisor for our Whitehorse station. Please note that housing is not provided.
Responsibilities of the Reservations Supervisor include:
- Answer questions in person, on the phone and by email in English, German and French;
- Welcome guests to GoNorth and collecting guests’ arrival and departure information;
- Hire, train and lead a small rental staff team during the rental season;
- Oversee getting the rental units ready to GoNorth standard in time for the guests and assist wherever needed, including detailing and housekeeping;
- Coordinate workflow with RV technicians and mechanics;
- Keep the station clean and presentable at any given time;
- Complete quality check before handing out vehicles;
- Explain and hand out vehicles to customers in English, German and French;
- Explain rental agreement to customers in English, German and French;
- Evaluate returned vehicles;
- Enter all relevant information into in-house database;
- Accept payments and process refunds to guests;
- Coordinate procedures with Rental and Station Managers company wide;
- Report directly to COO, CFO and CEO;
- And other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Excellent English and German language skills (reading, writing, speaking)
- Fluid in French (reading, writing, speaking)
- Experience in similar operations
- Excellent guest service, communications skills and problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills (proficient in MS Office applications)
- Ability to work independently and with highest accuracy within required time frames
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Must be able to work shifts, weekends, and holidays during rental season
- Positive attitude
