Located on the upper banks of the Kenai River in Southcentral Alaska, Kenai Riverside Lodge is in the heart of some of Alaska’s most beautiful scenery. For sportfishing enthusiasts, Kenai Riverside Lodge also offers sportfishing packages.

Caribou Lodge Alaska is a remote fly-in lodge located approximately 15 air miles southeast of Talkeetna. It is nestled in the foothills of the Talkeetna Mountains on a remote lake just southeast of Denali National Park – right at tree line where the Taiga forest gives way to the Alpine tundra.
As a small and personal family run operation where you can escape from the crowds, Caribou Lodge Alaska offers a fun and relaxed learning experience of life off the grid with an Alaskan wilderness family. The remote location offers fantastic opportunities in summer for hiking, canoeing, wildlife viewing, catch & release fishing as well as blueberry picking from mid-July through September.
To ensure that you have a peaceful and enjoyable experience during your visit, usually there are not more than 6 guests at the lodge at one time. The buildings you’ll find around the property consist of the lodge, where all the major cooking, eating and relaxing take place, the 3 main guest cabins, one centrally located shower house and sauna, two outhouses (there is no plumbing in the guest cabins), the dock house down by the lake, the “guide cabin” where seasonal help call home, as well as the workshop, greenhouse and supply sheds.
The cabins are very cozy; set up with a king size bed (or two twin beds). There is a centrally located shower house that all guests take turns using, and two classic off the grid outhouses.
Since the lodge is located off the road system we coordinate your flights to & from the lodge with a local air taxi service. At the beginning of June, when there may be melting ice on the lake, transportation will be by helicopter.
Hiking in Alaska is one of the ultimate wilderness adventures, and Caribou Lodge is known best as a hiking destination. During your stay the lodge offers half-day hikes, full-day hikes.
The only hiking trails around the lodge were carved out many years ago from large caribou herds, and guests use them every day.
If guests are not on an old caribou trail they are walking over untouched tundra which can be very wet, so come prepared with good hiking boots.
