Itinerary

Day 1 Anchorage to Kulik Lodge

Depart Anchorage on your direct flight to Kulik Lodge. Upon arrival you have the option of guided sport fishing or sightseeing on the adjacent Kulik River. A fishing license and equipment are provided. Return to the lodge for dinner (open bar). The Kulik Lodge chefs are among the best in the Alaskan wilderness. A hot tub and a sauna are available for your entertainment.

Full Days Guided Bear Viewing at Brooks Camp

During your full days in Katmai you will board an early morning seaplane to Brooks Camp, accompanied by a cheerful and knowledgeable Kulik Lodge guide. Your guide will take you to view the brown bears at Brooks Falls and other points of interest in the Brooks River area. The buffet lunch (to be purchase on site) at Brooks Lodge offers a relaxing break in your day.

On one of your days at Brooks Camp you may take the “Valley of 10,000 Smokes” Natural History Tour at additional cost. During the full-day tour you will have the opportunity to view a variety of wildlife and walk upon the ash and pumice moonscape of the “Valley of 10,000 Smokes”.

You will return to Kulik in time to relax and prepare for another great Kulik meal. Optional guided sport fishing is available on the Kulik River each evening.

Last Day Kulik Lodge to Anchorage

On your departure day, those who arrived at Kulik on the late flights will also depart on the late flights and will have additional time to spend fishing or relaxing in the Kulik area. All too soon it is time to say your good-byes and depart for Anchorage.

Kulik Lodge

Kulik Lodge is Alaska’s premier flyout sport fishing lodge and is located in a spectacular wilderness setting. Superb fishing is available adjacent to the lodge on the Kulik River and on the Kulik and Nonvianuk Lakes. The Kulik River is the epitome of a rainbow trout stream. Its gin clear water, gravel bottom and plentiful food supply provide an ideal habitat for the large population of native rainbow trout.

Kulik’s comfortable guest cabins accommodate two people and are equipped with modern features. The native spruce lodge boasts a large stone fireplace, dining area and bar where complimentary cocktails are served every evening. In the relaxed camaraderie of Kulik, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, new friendships are formed and old friendships reaffirmed.

Cancellations will be refunded only if all available space is sold, minus a 5% service charge based on the total price of the package + USD 150 service fee.
Changes in reservation dates are considered cancellations and are subject to cancellation policy.
Deposits are not transferable to another reservation or reservation date. Where changes are made in the itinerary at the request of the guest, no refunds will be made.
