After an hour and ten minute thrilling flight-seeing tour by seaplane from Anchorage to Lake Clark National Park and Preserve, you will land at Redoubt Mountain Lodge. Knowledgeable bear viewing guides escort you by boat to lakeside areas where bears feed on spawning wild Alaska salmon.

Tour Summary

Depart at 8AM from Lake Hood Sea Plane Harbor in Anchorage and fly southwest over Cook Inlet and the tundra-covered hills of the western Alaska interior. Watch for the Chigmit Mountains, where Alaska and Aleutian Ranges meet, and two active volcanoes – Mt. Redoubt and Mt. Iliamna – before landing in Crescent Lake, Lake Clark National Park and Preserve.

Situated at the headwaters of Bristol Bay, Lake Clark National Park and Preserve is an epitome of the Alaska wilderness landscape. At four million acres, the Park encompasses volcanoes, jagged mountains, glaciers, wild rivers, waterfalls and diverse Alaska wildlife populations.

You will land at Redoubt Mountain Lodge located at on Crescent Lake in Lake Clark NP. At the lodge you will hop on a boat accompanied by an experienced guide and go bear viewing. Bear viewing is not guaranteed, however, chances to see bears are very high. A hot lunch at the lodge is included.
