The train is a great way to relax and marvel at the stunning scenery Alaska has to offer. Our Seward to Fairbanks by train package combines the train journey with some of the famous National Parks in Alaska: Kenai Fjords National Park and Denali National Park and allows cruise clients to get to know Alaska’s Interior without having to rent a car.
Arrival in Seward. Depending on your arrival time you may have some time to explore the small town or visit the SeaLife Center, an excellent aquarium.
Enjoy a 6 hour Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise to see marine wildlife and glaciers on a Major Marine vessel (deli-style lunch included). In the evening take the train to Anchorage. This is the most beautiful train ride in Alaska and you will enjoy magnificent views of the mountain scenery and Turnagain Arm. Keep an eye open for wildlife that is spotted frequently along the way.
Day at your leisure to discover Alaska’s biggest city. Visit the interesting museums, stroll along the Coastal Trail or do some shopping.
Today you continue your journey by train to the Denali National Park, one of the highlights of every trip to Alaska. On clear days you get a great view of the Alaska Range and Mt. Denali.
Get the experience of Denali National Park on your 4.5 hour guided bus tour. You will see the beauty of the National Park and its tundra landscape while following the Park Road to the East Fork historical cabin. On route watch for wildlife as moose, Dall sheep, caribous, foxes and with some luck bears are often spotted during the trip.
The morning is free for own explorations. In the afternoon take the train to Fairbanks.
End of your trip. Depending on your travel plans you may have some more time to explore Alaska’s second biggest city.
