The Southern Lakes Resort is only 1 hour from Whitehorse within the Traditional Territory of the Carcross / Tagish First Nation and is your home base to go out and explore the rugged beauty and vastness of Yukon’s northern landscape.
This is the place to unwind and recharge your batteries. A restaurant and lounge is located in the Main Lodge offering splendid views of the lake as well as delicious food. Canoe rental, fishing charters or guided nature tours are available onsite (surcharge applies).
Lodging at the Southern Lakes Resort is in traditional log cabins with a modern touch and a fantastic view across the lake. You will feel right at home in the middle of nature. Each of the 4 standard cabins comes with 1 or 2 queen size beds, features a full en-suite bathroom, a decorative propane heating stove and a sitting area. The Cabins are far enough apart to ensure your privacy yet close to the Main Lodge.
There are also the Deluxe Lakeview Villas coming in a modern but cozy design and offering almost 600 square feet living space. The Deluxe Villas are equipped with a king-sized bed sitting on an elevated platform.
Please note access to the lodge is via 10 miles / 13 km of gravel road.
