Redoubt Bay Lodge, located at the entrance to Lake Clark Pass, is a rustic lodge that overlooks Big River Lakes, where a resident bear population inhabits the area – one of the densest bear populations in the state.

Wildman Lodge is one of Alaska’s most remote wilderness lodges, situated at the base of 8,000 foot glacier- shrouded Mt. Veniaminof, the largest active volcano on the remote Alaska Peninsula, accessible only by air. One of the more unique photo opportunities at Wildman Lake Lodge is a visit to its “Wally World.” Only 10 miles from the lodge is one of the Bering Sea’s most frequented Pacific walrus haul-outs. This is a special resting place where nearly all summer 500 to 2,000 walrus can be seen at one time. Each group is limited to six guests and two groups per session, in order to minimize human impact on the unique wildlife and pristine wilderness areas that you will visit!
Your adventure begins in Anchorage with a scenic flight along the Alaska Peninsula Wildlife Refuge to Wildman Lodge.
You will fly out with experienced lodge pilots and land on the black sand Bering Sea beaches to spend the day viewing huge Pacific Walrus, up close and personal. This is as close and personal to great Pacific walrus in the wild as it gets! Your guide-naturalist will explain the unique life cycle of the Pacific Walrus. You will want a good camera and plenty of film on this exciting fly-out day!
Another day will be Bear Viewing and Jet boat birding, including beachcombing with a hearty campfire lunch along the Bering Sea coastline. Weather permitting, you can look right into the “Blow Hole” of Mt. Veniaminof during the Aleutian Volcano and Glacier Tour.
Your tour ends today with another scenic flight from Wildman Lake Lodge back to Anchorage.
