Wildman Lodge is one of Alaska’s most remote wilderness lodges, situated at the base of 8,000 foot glacier- shrouded Mt. Veniaminof, the largest active volcano on the remote Alaska Peninsula, accessible only by air. One of the more unique photo opportunities at Wildman Lake Lodge is a visit to its “Wally World.” Only 10 miles from the lodge is one of the Bering Sea’s most frequented Pacific walrus haul-outs. This is a special resting place where nearly all summer 500 to 2,000 walrus can be seen at one time. Each group is limited to six guests and two groups per session, in order to minimize human impact on the unique wildlife and pristine wilderness areas that you will visit!
