Tour Summary
Your personal guide will provide you with luxury touring snowmobiles made for riding in style and comfort. They have heated handgrips, reverse, and electric start. Heated helmets, gloves, and boots (size 8 to 13) are included in your tour. You can also rent an Arctic coat and pants for $25 per day.
The cold winter turns Alaska’s watery playground into an ice fishing kingdom, and you can combine your snowmobile tour with some excellent ice fishing. It may be -20 degrees outside, but the heated ice fishing shelter keeps you warm as fish tug on the lines. The ice shelters are moveable which allows relocation to different spots to locate more fish.
Typically some wildlife can be seen on every trip, like Moose, Caribou, Coyote, Lynx, Red Fox, Grouse, Ptarmigan, and Squirrels. It is also very common to pass mushers training with their sled dogs.
This is what your itinerary may look like:
- Meet at the Guide office in North Pole
- Helmet fitting & clothing assessment/rental, sign liability waiver
- Snowmobile safety and operation brief
- Operation demonstration and 10-15 minute hands on operation in open area around guide office
- 3 hour tour starts when you depart to the trails
